According to the latest news, Huawei has announced that it will release end-to-end 5.5G commercial products next year!
This morning, the Shanghai World Mobile Communication Conference was officially opened. Meng Wanzhou, Huawei's vice chairman, rotating chairman and CFO, delivered a keynote speech "Embrace 5G change".
Meng Wanzhou said that 5G commerce is changing our life and production, and continues to create commercial value, industrial value and social value. With the continuous optimization of input and output, 5G has become a part of productivity and gradually established its foothold in industry applications.
Meng Wanzhou also answered what 5.5G can do in his speech.
Facing the future, new applications and terminals emerge endlessly, bringing immersive interactive experiences such as 5G new calls and naked eye 3D; In the era of "Superman of Things", mobile networks have evolved from serving people in the past to serving things, and continue to improve along the path of serving production.
Meng Wanzhou stressed that 5.5G is the inevitable path of 5G network evolution. The network characteristics of the 5.5G network, including down gigabit, up gigabit, hundreds of billions of connections, and endogenous intelligence, have been clarified. From 5G to 5.5G, it will better match scenarios such as the Internet of Things, perception, and high-end manufacturing, incubating more new business opportunities.
In addition, Huawei announced that it will launch end-to-end 5.5G commercial products next year. However, no further product related information has been released yet.
But this "end-to-end 5.5G product" has a lot of room for imagination. The so-called 5.5G end-to-end generally refers to the comprehensive coverage of 5.5G networks, including intelligent devices, wireless access technology, network infrastructure, and the "end-to-end" from the core network to the cloud.
Simply put, Huawei's 5.5G end-to-end commercial products are not only mobile phones, but may also be other types of 5.5G devices. But in other words, even if other commercial devices can use 5.5G, then 5.5G phones are naturally not far away.
In addition, 5.5G is a transitional stage between 5G and 6G, which will comprehensively surpass the existing 5G in terms of speed, latency, connection scale, and energy consumption. It is expected to achieve peak rates, millisecond level latency, and low-cost Internet of Things of tens of gigabytes for downlink and uplink. Therefore, it is not ruled out that Huawei will launch new products with greater imagination next year.
