Recently, Zhuhai Huaxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huaxin Microelectronics") officially launched its first 6-inch gallium arsenide wafer production line and produced the first 6-inch 2um gallium arsenide HBT wafer, which will achieve large-scale production in the first half of 2025.

This wafer has the characteristics of high gain and high efficiency, and can be applied to advanced 5G Phase 7/8 mobile power amplifier modules and Wi Fi 6/7 devices.

Huaxin Microelectronics was established in Zhuhai High tech Zone in 2023. Its GeChuang Huaxin Gallium Arsenide Wafer Production Base project is a key project in Guangdong Province and an industrial pillar project in Zhuhai City.

Since the start of construction, with strong support from Guangdong Province, Zhuhai City, Zhuhai High tech Zone, and partners, Huaxin Microelectronics has closely cooperated with project design and construction units such as Gree Group to target nodes, efficiently promote progress, and work together to tackle challenges. In just 184 days, the main body of the project was capped, equipment installation and secondary distribution engineering were completed in 180 days, and equipment debugging and production line connection were completed in 90 days.

On the morning of August 3rd, the completion ceremony and equipment installation ceremony of GeChuang Huaxin Semiconductor Park was held. At that time, the news showed that the total investment of GeChuang Huaxin Semiconductor Park was 3.387 billion yuan. The project is expected to be completed and accepted in November this year, and the process will be put into operation. It is expected to achieve large-scale production in the first half of 2025.

The GeChuang Huaxin Gallium Arsenide Wafer Production Base project is led by innovation in compound semiconductor wafer foundry technology, committed to building a compound semiconductor process platform with international leading level, fully assisting domestic enterprises in achieving domestic manufacturing of RF chips, becoming the largest RF wafer foundry in China, and promoting the self-reliance and self-improvement of RF technology.
